Aqidah Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani
Synopsis
A course on the orthodox Sunni creed by the Maliki Imam Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani (d. 389 AH) from his main work al-Risalah. It is a short treatise on the fundamentals of belief. The author explains the obligatory aspects of Islam, those that should be pronounced by the tongue, believed in the heart and acted upon by the limbs. Originally written for children this text is an ideal way to teach creed.
